Lululemon Legging Lover

I recently might have gone overboard on the Lululemon leggings. Although to be honest, when you shop second hand I’m not sure that it’s actually possible to buy too many. When they retail for anywhere between $90 and $130 a pair, scoring them for half of that cost (each!) is a good excuse to buy them and stuff your drawers with leggings.

I’ve recently fallen in love with the Lululemon Fast and Free tights which is an unfortunate thing for my wallet. At $128 a pair new, they’re a little bit of a gut punch even if you can easily afford them. If you’re on a budget then it’s downright painful. But also 110% worth it. They’re made of a fabric called Nulux which is “buttery soft” and provides a great level of smooth compression while also being averse to both piling and lint- which a big deal if you have pets. I recently scored not one, but TWO pairs of them for only $40 each a local buy-sell-trade store which is a STEAL when you actually look at what they go for online in the secondary market. A quick search of sites like eBay and Poshmark will find lots of pairs of Fast and Free tights but even used they’re hard to find for less than $60.

Another Lululemon cult favorite is the Align pant. Unlike the Fast and Free tights, they’re made of Nulu fabric (not to be confused with Nulux) which is even softer and silkier. It does have some drawbacks- namely that it DOES attract link and can pill but they’re so comfy that a lot of people just don’t care. I do care to the point that it bothers me but not enough to avoid buying them. I’ll admit I’ve purchased more than one pair new at $88 to $98 a pair depending on the style.

But I love a good deal and while I don’t need anymore Align crops I couldn’t say no when I found two pairs for only $28 and $35 each. I’ll admit one of them had a little more wear and piling than I usually like but the pink color was just so pretty that I bought them anyway. The black pair is in excellent condition and has a really cool embossed print that elevates them from being a boring black.

In total, I spent $143 on FOUR PAIRS of popular Lululemon leggings instead of the $432 that they would have cost me retail. Crazy. I know. But I’m a sucker for a good deal. If you’re a Lululemon legging lover too and love a good deal then you should definitely check out some shopping options below.
